It is always such a pleasure when you get to present your work for dear friends - which is why I was so honored to design pieces for my dear friends Danielle & Steve for their woodland wedding at Tall Timber Barn in Canadensis, PA.
Inspired by the brides amazing hair color (pink!), we went for an ethereal "Woodland Night Dream" theme. Since I knew the ceremony chapel was in a grove of pine trees, I wanted to lighter colors to really pop off the greenery of the natural setting.
The "chapel in the pines" at Tall Timber was such an intimate gathering place for the couple to read their handwritten vows. Small ties of golden pampass grass and silvery eucalyptus tied on the benches were an elegantly simple way to highlight the ceremony aisle.
The ceremony arch was so fun to build! It was the perfect piece to frame the altar .
From the Bride: "What a display! When I walked down the aisle and saw the altar for the first time I was completely blown away. The floral arch was better than any photo I could have sent her for inspiration."
Golden pampass grass rods, silvery eucalyptus, and pink astilbe were used as the main elements in the bridesmaids bouquets to create a color blocked + effortless look. Each element chosen for their color + texture popped beautifully off an ice blue dress.
Reception was a mix of long farm tables and round tables that were set up in the newly built pavilion on the property. Spider gerbera daisies, feather like celosia, specialty ranunculus, and clematis vine were some main elements used to create this look.
We decorated the long farm tables with "vaseless" arrangements, where we created little vinettes of florals that appeared to grow out of the table top. On the round tables, we did a compote style arrangement displayed in a soft purple glass pedestal vase.
Ignoring virtually every rule I know about bridal bouquets, Danielle's bouquet came out colorful in a very sophisticated way. When I was creating this, I just kept imagining what it would look like playing off her pink hair! Danielle really wanted her bouquet to be a "moment", so we truly indulged with the hanging orchids, romantic clematis vine, and a bunch of mixed ranunculus - both her favorite flower and mine!
From the Bride: "Hope did such a spectacular job on my bouquet that I plan on getting it tattooed as a way of always having it with me and as a reminder of my wedding day."
Thank you so much Danielle + Steve for letting me be a part of your magical day!
