Wild Garden White
All-White Wedding Florals at Blue Hill at Stone Barns
Melanie's all-white wedding at Blue Hill at Stone Barns in Tarrytown, New York was a masterclass in something we care deeply about: seasonal floral design.
Blue Hill isn't just a wedding venue—it's a landscape. Rolling fields, working farmland, historic stone architecture. When a couple chooses a place that real, the florals need to belong there. They can't compete; they have to complement. For Melanie's June wedding, that meant all-white wedding flowers that felt gathered straight from a wild early summer garden, not arranged in a studio.
We collaborated closely with Melanie and her mother Sophie, a Master Gardener with a deep appreciation for seasonal blooms and locally-grown flowers. All-white might seem like a simple palette, but achieving that garden-style whimsy is actually deeply nuanced. The design choices intentionally stray away from the obvious roses and hydrangeas everyone expects. Instead, we leaned into the blooms and textures that are abundant in June but often get overlooked in wedding design—the kinds of elements you find when you look out at naturally overgrown fields and wild gardens at peak early summer.
Queen Anne's lace, delicate scabiosa, winding clematis vines, touches of pods and garden greenery—these are some of the elements that create an airy, textured arrangement full of movement. The result feels less "designed" and more "gathered"—exactly what Melanie envisioned. Every arrangement was composed from seasonal, locally-grown June blooms chosen specifically to blend seamlessly into Blue Hill's organic landscape.
The result? All-white early summer florals that created the kind of depth and movement that only happens when you're working with the season, not against it. From the lush and gathered feel of the bridal bouquet, to the ceremony chuppah and reception tables, every bloom chosen was inspired by what June gardens naturally offer.
If you're drawn to garden-inspired all-white wedding flowers that feel deeply connected to your venue and early summer season, this gallery shows you what's possible.
